Gold plating can be accomplished using a range of base metals and even glass, and is used to promote aesthetic appeal, corrosion resistance, electrical conduction and more.
Vibratory finishing is used to burnish, clean, brighten or descale metal components.
Silver plating is used in industries as wide ranging as jewelry, electronics and tableware, and offers better aesthetics, reflectivity and conductivity depending on the application.
Like copper plating, brass plating is one of our most in-demand processes, and adheres a layer of brass over another material.
Copper plating is used in a very broad range of applications, and coats your desired components with a thin layer of copper for conductivity or aesthetic considerations.
Hematite plating is used to plate metals and plastics with a thin coating of hematite.
Antiquing gives metal items a “worn” appearance by darkening certain parts of the overall design.
Our palladium plating process plates your desired component with a layer of the precious metal palladium.
Our imitation rhodium plating process offers the look of real rhodium, at a fraction of the cost.
Rhodium plating can be done on gold, silver, copper and other alloys, to alter the component’s appearance.
Nickel plating offers a shiny, hard finish for softer metal components and is used in a number of industries, from clothing to cabinet and door hardware.
Heavy gold plating, otherwise known as HGE, is a thicker type electrolytic plating of gold and the longest lasting type of electroplate. The thickness of heavy gold electroplate is around 2 to 3 mils thick (2 to 3/1000s of an inch). At American Plating, we ensure this thickness with state-of-the-art analysis tools.
Ox Finishing (Oxidized Finishing)
Ox finishing gives a unique finish to base metal. American Plating Company is capable of both Satin Ox Finishing and Roman Ox Finishing. We can do ox finishes in brass, silver, nickel, and copper.
Rack Plating
Rack plating is an ideal solution for a variety of situations, components and requirements. In this situation, a large group of parts is grouped together in order to be plated at one time. Rack plating offers two significant advantages – decreased production time due to grouping many items together at one time and reduced costs due to batch completion.
Barrel Plating
Like rack plating, barrel plating is a method used to metal plate a group of items at one time. In this scenario, small items are plated as a large group. It is also more productive than rack plating, allowing us to plate very large groups of small items in a fraction of the time required with some other metal plating methods.
